The Australian Centre of Regulatory Economics (ACORE) was established on 1 January 2004 with the support of regulated industries and regulators to facilitate the development of a national critical mass of understanding of regulation through high quality teaching and research on regulation, both from an economic and from an interdisciplinary viewpoint. As a result of changes instituted by The Australian National University in 2006, The ACORE has integrated with the ANU College of Business and Economics (CBE), which has a long history of excellence in research and education in various areas of economics. The College draws together a wide range of disciplines and programs in the broad fields of business and economics and has integrated these activities in consolidating its educational and research programs.
