Welcome to the second edition of the IERN Newsletter

welcome to the Summer edition of the IERN Newsletter.

This Newsletter serves as a reminder to all of you about our surveys, and as a showcase for those of you who have already completed them or most of them. There is a new, slightly modified version of the Manual available online: please check it out.
Moreover, the IERN 2011 Brochure is now available online in pdf format.

Besides the usual IERN Training Database and IERN Events Calendar, we have one big news: IERN will be soon launching a series of Policy Briefs on Regulation, to be realized in cooperation with National and Regional Regulatory Associations. The first series will focus on emerging issues regarding natural gas markets, and in particular the role of unconventional and shale gas in market development.

It is a good result considering that the surveys were launched only a month and a half ago, but there is room for improvement!

The deadline for survey completion was extended until July, 31st!

TO HAVE ACCESS TO DATA FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD:
the data provided will be available only to those Regulators who filled the surveys in through the IERN Members Area;
TO JOIN A WORLDWIDE NETWORK OF REGULATORY AUTHORITIES and exchange best practices and valuable information;
TO HAVE MORE VISIBILITY IN THE IERN WORLD:
check the IERN world Regulatory Interactive Map;
TO RECEIVE THE IERN REPORT ON THE POWERS OF REGULATORS
at the end of 2011, built on the basis of the (non-sensitive) information Regulatory Authorities from all continents will have provided us with.
